IEXTAS AB was formed in autumn 2008 as a private initiative and with assistance of external investors. Founders saw the potential for improving the efficiency of customers' activities by taking home development and management of products which are not customer core business. This provides an opportunity for focus, redistribution and rationalization of customers. At the same time this provides a better quality of product or system by providing space for training, specialization and growth for IEXTAS.

System Developer / Architect / Test Methodology in telecom

You have a deep technology expertise and long experience in system development. Today you probably work as an architect, technical project manager or senior consultant. You have a burning technology interest and likes to meet with customers and help them find the best technical solution.

We work with very complex systems. As a software developer in IEXTAS, you must have a deep technical knowledge while you can quickly understand the overall picture in the complex systems we implement. The work includes the development of simulated nodes in mobile networks, 2.5G, 3G and 4G access technologies, virtualiserning of operating system and hardware drivers.

As a software developer in IEXTAS you need to master programming Erlang, C/C++, Java, scripting languages such as Python, Unix sh, csh a.s.o. Further have deep knowledge of Unix (Linux and Solaris) and VxWorks.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

IEXTAS is responsible for project management / team leadership in the team we staff.
The work includes development of

• Project plans
• Short-term and long-term planning
• Prioritization of requirements.

Requirements analysis and cost is determined in cooperation with the customer. As Project manager / team leader from IEXTAS one is "the spider in the network" which serves as the coordinating role between the system and customer management and line management. Project Manager also acts as a contact between users of the system and the other team.

TEST METHODOLOGY

IEXTAS implements a test-driven development process that allows integration testing of the system at the design stage. Since the errors are found and corrected immediately where they occur, the customer acheives an effective development relating to

• Cost reductions
• Higher Quality

We believe that improved efficiency in these three parameters also creates the best development process. As Test Methodology Developers at IEXTAS, we are working continously with improvement in order to streamline the customer development. The improvement measurements are planned and implemented together with the client's project management and line management.

SYSTEM DESIGN

We work with robust and well-established techniques and very complex systems. Our system designers and architects from IEXTAS have a deep technical knowledge while also quickly understand the overall picture of the complex systems we implement.

The work may include for example the development of simulated nodes in modern mobile network access technologies, virtualisation of operating system and hardware drivers, etc.

Our systems developers have a large experience of programming languages like C / C + +, Erlang, Java, scripting languages as Python, Unix sh, csh mm. Furthermore, a deep knowledge of Unix (Linux and Solaris) and VxWorks.

TEST AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT

IEXTAS is responsible for quality assurance of customer products. Work involves analysis and first line troubleshooting of the fully automated test runs. You are tracking source and inform the customer that rectifies. Engineers responsible for test and quality at IEXTAS work very close to the customer's CM (Configuration Manager), project management and system designers.
